Congratulations, Jeannie!After almost 3 years working at S3 Safe Sex Store, Jeannie Hahl is moving on. She and her partner, Ben, are relocating to San Antonio, Texas, Jeannie’s home state. Her last day was Friday, August 7th.
During her time at S3, Jeannie became a much valued, trusted and respected member of our team. She was integral to many research projects, including our OBGYN pamphlet. She was responsible for writing our press releases and recently wrote an article titled Are Condoms Worth it?
Jeannie will be missed, but we at S3 are excited for the new adventures she will encounter in San Antonio and at graduate school. Her talents will shine in the lone star state.
Congratulations, Jeannie! We love you!

ANN ARBOR - As part of their Women's Studies 240 class at the University of Michigan, a group of students presented a study on the feminist pornography industry in order to educate those in attendance. The mission was to provide a comfortable forum for frank discussion about sexuality to take place.
S3 was excited to provide the venue, where open communication about sexual health topics is encouraged and supported. Cookies and hot chocolate was served, and both the presenters and audience members raised some tough questions about society and our view of sex.
Thanks to WOLV-TV for coming to film the event for the program, "Turned On". Check out the show every Monday, live at 11:30pm where they give you the low-down on the Ann Arbor dating scene and tips for those college first dates.
WOLV airs on Channel 70 in all University of Michigan residence halls. Also, WOLV programming airs nightly on Comcast Ann Arbor Channel 22 from 10pm to 11pm during the fall and winter semesters.

| The Michigan Breast Cancer 3-Day Thanks You! A BIG "Thank You" goes out to all who donated a little extra money while shopping S3 in Ann Arbor to support Kristi for the 2007 Michigan 3-Day 60-mile walk.
Combined with a Safe Sex Store contribution of $500, we raised $600, which enabled a total of five walkers reach their goal of $2,200. The money we raised will help Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund save lives.
The event began Friday Sept. 28th at Oakland Community College - Orchard Ridge, lasting 3 days and traveling 60 miles. Please read the following letters from Kristi and friends...

Attached are some pictures of the 3-Day walk that I received from one of the women that I walked with. Her letter includes the total number of walkers, number of crew, & amount raised. I agree with her when she said, "People have asked if this was a 'once in a lifetime' event for me. A few weeks before the walk I was saying - absolutely. However, after having gone thru the event in all its glory, I will not be surprised if I'm signed up to walk or crew again next year. It was that powerful for me."

 The gals of S3 celebrated a great spring and welcomed many new beginnings! A sushi sampling was enjoyed by all at Ann Arbor's Cherry Blossom restaurant.

 Over the last couple months, S3 has been getting ready for summer with a complete exterior remodel of our South University location! If you've been through downtown Ann Arbor, you may have seen the progress...first the siding, then the great new sign!
If you weren't in town, take a look at the slide show of pictures showing the progress:
Stop in and check things out. Just look for the blue sign on S. University...there's no missing us now!
